What's Coming in Term 1, 2026
New term, new adventures. Here's a preview of what's ahead.
Bismillāh — 2026 is here, and we're excited about what's ahead for MSA Youth Academy.
Term 1 is shaping up to be one of our best yet. Whether your child is a returning member or brand new to MSA, there's plenty to look forward to, in shā' Allāh.
What's Returning
The core of our program continues — the things families love and our Troops thrive on:
Outdoor Skills & Bushcraft
Hands-on, practical challenges that build confidence — from knot tying to navigation.
Islamic Personal Development
Weekly IPD sessions that nurture faith, character, and connection to our deen.
Life Skills Program
First aid, cooking, problem-solving — practical skills that prepare our youth for real life.
House System & Team Challenges
Friendly competition and camaraderie through our four Houses — Oak, Cedar, Willow, and Pine.
What's New
We're always evolving. Here's what we're working on for Term 1:
- Enhanced program structure — refined session plans based on feedback from our leaders and parents.
- New badge and achievement pathways — recognising growth across all four development pillars.
- Special events — we're planning a camp or excursion and an end-of-term celebration. Dates to come!
Dates & Times
Term 1 session dates and times will be announced shortly. All units (Explorers, Seekers, Strivers) run on Fridays in the St George region. Keep an eye on our communication channels for the official schedule.
Registration
If your child is already enrolled, you're all set — no need to re-register. If you're new to MSA and would like to join, now is the time to get in touch!
Places are in high demand (we had over 100 on our waiting list last year), so we encourage families to register their interest early.
